The Lyra Baroque Orchestra is seeking a Baroque Violinist to serve as Artistic Director
Lyra brings a rare freshness, color, and dimension to the music of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries through its performances on period instruments. Under the current artistic leadership of Jacques Ogg since 2000, the orchestra combines the talents of renowned local early music specialists and international guest artists.
Lyra was founded in 1985 under the initial artistic leadership of Randy Bourne. Now in its 39th season, the orchestra offers 5 programs per season and presents each program in both St. Paul and Rochester, Minnesota.
Lyra’s mission is to inspire and enrich the community through exceptional performances of baroque music on period instruments. The organization is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all its programs and initiatives, and believes that the arts should be available to all.
- Position to begin in the 2025-2026 season
- Salary: $20,000-25,000 annual for 5 concerts, plus travel expenses
- 3-year renewable contract
